Cameron Baranek is a 2013 OF/LHP with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Orange, CA who attends Canyon HS. Live bodied medium athletic build, has some compact strength. Very good outfielder with quick jumps, good routes and lots of range, footwork is smooth and easy, strong on line accurate throws, polished high energy defender in centerfield. Left handed hitter, fluid line drive swing, stays compact and short and hits through contact, good balance, has bat speed and gap power, has calmed down swing mechanics well for more consistent hard contact. Also pitched, steady 83-84 mph fastball, have seen to 86 mph recently, fastball pretty straight, has shown a solid mid-70's slider in the past. Type of player who performs and plays above his raw tools.
