Brandon Murray is a 2014 RHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Hobart, IN who attends Hobart HS. Tall strong athletic build. High leg lift delivery, over the top arm slot with some effort at release. Big time arm strength, mid 90's fastball topped at 96 mph, heavy fastball life when down in the zone, tends to pitch up though, will break bats and overmatch hitters when down. Throws both a slider and curveball, slider better pitch at present, shows big depth with good bite at times, tends to pull around curveball for softer sweeping break, rare change up. Mechanics and command a bit raw at present but elite level arm strength. Verbal commitment to South Carolina. Selected for the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
