Peter Beattie is a 2014 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Chino Hills, CA who attends Ruben S. Ayala. Large frame, wide set shoulders, some present strength. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot, compact mechanics, strength oriented delivery. Good spin rate on curveball, lacks feel for big depth to break but as he adds more power to it should generate more swings and misses. Aggressive hitting approach, swings hard, line drive swing plane, pull approach, quick hands, has some lift. Long arm action from the outfield where his arm stands out, online throws have good carry with good extension out front. Good student.
