Chase Whetsel is a 2015 OF/1B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends Calallen HS. Medium athletic build, room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, fluid swing with good lower half use, spread stance, swings hard but maintains balance, good bat speed with more to come, stays short to the ball, line drive swing plane, has gap to gap power. 6.80 runner, footwork still developing in the outfield, wrapped arm action, some carry on throws. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas.
