Salvatore Gozzo is a 2016 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Wallingford, CT who attends Mark T. Sheehan HS. Medium athletic build, some present strength with room for more. 7.13 runner, polished infielder with smooth and athletic actions, good hands, good carry on his throws from a compact and quick arm action, very clean in all his actions, can play the middle of the field. Switch-hitter, short swing with an inside swing path from both sides of the plate, has a bit more bat speed and extension out front from the right side, should continue to improve offensively with additional strength. Defense stands out at present. Very good student, verbal commitment to Tulane.
