Darren Baker is a 2017 2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Granite Bay, CA who attends Jesuit HS. Slender young athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, narrow open stance, gets to his front side and hits the ball out front, has quick hands and handles the barrel well, high average approach and will hit to all fields, additional strength will enable him to keep improving at the plate. 6.63 runner, light and quick on his feet on the bases and defensively. Has soft hands at second base and is very good at picking the ball, footwork is sound, works though the ball well and stays balanced. Young player who will keep getting better as he gets stronger.
