Octavio Marin is a 2015 LHP with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Terra Environmental Research Institute. Small slender build, minimal present strength. Loose easy arm action, mid to standard 3/4's arm slot, sound pitching mechanics, stays on line and balanced and lets his arm work. Low 80's fastball, topped out at 84 mph, gets big running life and good sink at times, throws his fastball to both sides of the plate with intent. Nice short breaking slider with similar command and feel, developing change up. Polished pitcher with solid stuff and a mature approach, have to believe overall stuff would improve with additional strength. Excellent student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
