Alec Cargin is a 2016 C/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Collins Hill HS. Medium frame with strong build. Has present strength and has room for more strength. Left handed hitter, starts with wide base, has good weight transfer. Rotational elements to swing, shows some bat speed, pull heavy approach with loose hands and quick wrists. Solid athlete, ran a 7.24 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, looks the part behind the plate. Good setup, crouch behind the plate, gains ground well with footwork, shows a solid arm strength. Accurate throws with best pop time of 1.94. Excellent student.
