Ike Freeman is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Rockwell, NC who attends East Rowan HS. Strong middle infielder's build. 7.32 runner, best defensive actions when on the move, charges well and has a quick sidearm release moving to his left, has a quick transfer on most throws, front side tends to collapse when throwing from a more stationary fielding position, hands are solid, might be best suited at second base at the next level. Right handed hitter, two-part swing with early load, open stance, upright swing, exaggerated inside swing path, stays short to the ball, has the strength to open up his swing and look to drive it. North Carolina signee who resembles former NC player Landon Lassiter. Good student.
