Denzell Gowdy is a 2015 3B/RHP with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Sylvester, GA who attends Worth County. Medium, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength through frame. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves well to the ball in the infield, shows ability to make the off balance play with arm strength and accuracy across the diamond, longer release with good glove work. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open stance and uses a toe tap trigger. Generates effortless bat speed with quick hands and wrists, gets the barrel through the zone well with strength off the barrel. Length to swing, shows ability to go with the pitch and does a nice job of incorporating lower half into swing, ball jumps when squared. Named to Southeast Top Prospect List. Good student.
