Travis Kuhn is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Norco, CA who attends Norco. Medium-large frame with excellent present build and overall physicality. Primary pitcher, pitches with good paced delivery, short arm action up to 3/4 slot, some effort in delivery but clean release and result. Fastball worked in the 84-86 range primarily, touching 88, with good, late natural cutting action. Showed both a CB and SL. CB worked in the low 70's with in between 12/6 and 11/5 shape, shows good sharpness and depth. SL is more 10/4 shape with hard snap and very tight spin. Has potential for 3 bat-missing pitches. Hits from balanced stance with simple mechanics, good feel for the barrel, very strong with natural loft in swing and good power potential. Consistent squared contact. Easy athleticism in the outfield with plus arm strength, worked through well with good footwork, arm strength clocked at 90 MPH. Fielded well in the IF as well, though without the natural fluidity shown in the OF. Threw 83 MPH across the IF. Named to 2015 Sunshine West Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student.
