Ben Rortvedt is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-11 190 lb. frame from New Glarus, WI who attends Verona Area HS. Strong and compact athletic build, fairly mature physically. 7.02 runner, low and flexible set up behind the plate, has quick feet and explosive athletic actions defensively, very strong arm with accurate on line throws, 1.87 best pop time, very sound all around defensive actions, plays with energy. Left handed hitter, side base with toe tap trigger, short and direct swing with very good raw bat speed, stays balanced very well, mostly line drive contact but will flash pull power, game home run. Hitting actions and defensive actions are very similar, quick and simple. Highest level prospect. Good student, verbal commitment to Arkansas. Named to the Perfect Game All-American Classic team.
