Elijah McCormack is a 2019 RHP with a 6-3 170 lb. frame from Coppell, TX who attends Coppell High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a high waist, long limbs with room to develop physically moving forward. Primary righthanded pitcher, abbreviated start of windup with a hip turn at top, gets tall on backside and shows a longer arm path through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Short stride and gets misdirected with lower half mechanics at times but works on top and generates plane. Fastball topped out at 87 mph in this look, short cutting action and projects for more velocity with additional drive out of lower half. Has comfort and confidence with curveball, showed depth with occasional bite that had a slider look. Creates nice extension out front on his changeup with fading life down in the zone at 78 mph. Excellent student. Named to the Top Prospect List.
