Landon Sims is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends South Forsyth HS. Big and strong athletic build, especially in the lower half, broad shoulders. Simple turn and throw delivery with a fast paced turn, 3/4's arm slot, arm is pretty fluid and low effort, tends to fall off to the first base side on release. Fastball topped out at 93 mph, mostly straight, hitters tend to be behind in their timing, can work effectively glove side. Sweeping slider will flash good 2-plane depth, developing slider. Has been up to 97 mph since the National and announced his intentions to concentrate on pitching. 6.75 runner, has a long and strong right handed swing from a big coiled start, power approach with some juice when he's timed up. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi State. Selected to play in the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
