David Hollie is a 2018 OF/RHP, 3B, 1B with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Hephzibah, GA who attends Cross Creek High School. Large frame and build, strength, athleticism, square shoulders, and room to continue to fill out physically. Posted and impressive 6.85 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, showed a full arm action, tight release, short steps to ball, quick transfer, and good arm strength up to 86 mph. At the plate, started with a tall, open stance, medium hand set, and a toe tap timing mechanism. Flashed bat speed with a still barrel and ability to generate backspin off the barrel. Inconsistent timing at present with room to continue to improve. Ability to drive the ball in the air with lift. Also pitched and graded out better on the mound. Started with a leg lift to the belt, full arm action through the back, quick arm, extension out front, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Powers the ball down in the zone with a short stride to the plate. Got on top of his fastball well with short arm side life at 83-86 mph. Limited effort at release with occasional angle to the plate. Also showed a short breaking 11/5 shaped curveball at 71 mph with developing feel to spin. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
