Michael Koval is a 2016 OF/MIF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Lucas, TX who attends Lovejoy HS. Very athletic build with plenty of present strength. Shows his athleticism well in the outfield, works through the ball well, good footwork, lower arm slot but shows good arm strength with carry on his throws. Right handed hitter, has the strength to hit and ball will occasionally jump off the barrel, has a big stride into contact and tends to get off balance and out of sync, can improve offensively with a simpler and calmer approach. Also pitched, same lower 3/4's arm slot, rotational delivery he repeated well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph with big running lift at times. Nice change up with similar fade and good feel, short curveball. Threw strikes and had an effective inning. Good student.
