John Grigg is a 2016 C/MIF with a 6-1 150 lb. frame from Lawndale, NC who attends Burns. Grigg has a long lean build with room to fill out and add strength. Hits from a square stance, line drive swing plane with an opposite field approach. Aggressive swing, makes consistent contact. Gets extended through contact. Defensively, from behind the plate, accurate throws, has arm strength behind plate, tight release of ball. From the INF, throws have carry, good actions, and picks hops well. Has quick release from SS. Outstanding Student.
