Jackson Duke is a 2020 C/RHP with a 5-11 200 lb. frame from Grand Prairie, TX who attends South Grand Prairie. Big and strong athletic build, football look. 7.56 runner, has good lower half flexibility behind the plate, has some quickness and athleticism, tends to swing his hands through his exchange causing inconsistency but when it's in sync it's a smooth release, good arm strength, 1.90 best pop time. Also played some infield, has the tools and actions to be a solid defensive third baseman, has soft hands and reads hops well, arm strength plays well across the diamond. Right handed hitter, short shift into contact, uses his strong hands and upper body to create bat speed, best swings where when he was turning the barrel and looking to drive the ball instead of looking to go opposite field. Also pitched, compact catcher's arm action with a high 3/4's slot, quick arm, gets good lower half drive to the plate. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with heavy boring action. Slider had tight spin with good 2-plane depth to it, landed his slider consistently. Solid all around talent. Named to the 2018 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
