Austin Breedlove is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Ooltewah, TN who attends McCallie School. Large frame with an athletic build showing broad shoulders and a high waist. Room to fill out the frame making him projectable. Ran a 7.14 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side-step to a higher lift. Balanced at the top as he drives online to the dish. Flashed some arm speed as he released from a higher slot. Settled down nicely after a bumpy start. Fastball up to 87 mph with downhill plane. Mixed in a short, horizontal slider in the mid-70's. Proved to have feel for a changeup as well in the mid-70's that has big upside as an out pitch. Secondary Outfielder, short, choppy steps as he works into the baseball. Clean gather to the side as he works into transfer. Carries weight into release as he threw it 87 mph with accuracy. Fundamentally sound as he showed some feel for the position. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced and a bit narrow with pinched knees. Toe tap to stride as he creates separation. Fluid cut as he stays short to the baseball. Proved to have some barrel control as he drove the baseball on a line to all fields. Great Student.
