Marcos Hernandez is a 2017 C/ with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Puerto Rico BB Acad. Medium build with a strong, athletic frame that shows in game. Posted a 7.08 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, showed good catch and throw mechanics while gaining ground well with a top workout pop time of 1.85. Also showed off a strong arm behind the plate up to 78 mph. At the plate, started with an open stance and high hand set. Showed raw bat speed at the plate with an inconsistent swing plane with the ability to create back spin. Present inconsistencies with timing, will see improved contact with additional feel for barrel. Outstanding student.
