Reese Lansville is a 2018 RHP/3B, MIF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Centennial, CO who attends Thunder Ridge. Medium frame with a lean build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.19 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a side step to leg lift delivery. Creates coil over back leg at gather and stay balanced. Utilizes lower half while working to the plate, lands in line with stride and carries momentum through finish. Short arm circle at separation and released from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Fastball jumps out of hand well with some running action to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 83 miles per hour. Curveball had 10/4 shape with softer spin and some sweep to glove side in the mid 70's. Deceptive arm action with a changeup offering that had some sinking action down in the zone at 71 miles per hour. Looked to work ahead early in counts with fastball and showed good feel for the out edge of the plate. Also worked out defensively showing athletic footwork while rounding the baseball and generated good momentum to the bag. Clean glove actions while funneling the baseball out front and working through back hand. Topped at 80 miles per hour across the infield from a compact three-quarters arm slot. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Loose path to contact with a slightly lifted barrel plane through extension. Stayed balanced throughout swing with present bat speed with strength at contact. Consistently barreled up the baseball throughout batting practice producing hard line drive contact with solid carry to the gaps.
