Zachary Limas is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends Foster HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward, nice looseness to overall actions. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball with long strides, works behind it nicely, short and compact arm action with some effort at release, big present arm strength across the diamond with solid carry out of hand and accuracy to the bag. Also pitched, leg lift slightly up past belt, loads weight on backside before driving towards the plate. Full hand path and does a nice job of landing on line, fuller arm stroke leading to a three-quarters arm slot with a quick arm action, topped out at 87 mph with fastball, gets on top nicely and lives down in zone with short running life. Slows arm slightly on curveball, 12-6 shape with short depth at 68 mph, flashed changeup at 78 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a square stance in the box and a high back elbow. Occasionally gets to front side early but shows a direct path with a line drive swing plane. Quick hands with a feel for the barrel, uses hands well and is able to generate some carry when squared, contact approach with comfort working the middle and pull side parts of the field. Very good student.
