Shane Rogers is a 2016 2B/SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Nanaimo, BC who attends Nanaimo. Medium athletic frame with solid present build and good room for additional physical projection. Ran well, posting a 6.91 60 yard dash time. Hits from tall stance with slightly open front foot/hip. Showed good strength in swing with pull-field approach and some ability to drive the baseball with authority. Showed well defensively in the infield, as well. Good hands throughout fielding actions, exaggerated crow hop across with extra step for the sake of arm strength, showed quick release and excellent accuracy across the diamond. Made every play he had the opportunity to make. Threw 77 MPH across the infield with projection for more arm strength moving forward. Excellent student.
