Cameron Pitzer is a 2018 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Indianapolis, IN who attends New Palestine HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional size with strength. Ran a 7.60 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with compact, deliberate footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Developing glove actions while funneling with smooth paced, clean exchanges while transferring. Loose arm circle at separation and released from a high three-quarters arm slot creating some on line carry, topped at 76 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, slightly open stance and reaching front side trigger. Lower half worked to baseball with linear actions generating shift into contact. Created some top half coil at load prior to launching barrel on a loose path through extension. Consistently worked to the middle of the field but showed the hand control to stay inside of the baseball and work to opposite field as well. Also pitched showing a quick paced leg raise delivery. Stays balanced on back side at gather and released from a high three-quarters to near over top arm slot. Fastball showed straight actions to the plate with occasional downhill angle through the zone in the upper 70's, topped at 78 miles per hour. Curveball had 12/6 shape with loose spin and good depth. Also flashed a changeup in the low 70's. Tools will continue to develop with maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
