Blake Holub is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-5 230 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Holub has a large frame with a thicker lower half and projection. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action. His arm works and he has good tempo to his delivery. Holub has more velocity in there and can get more from his backside in his delivery. He lands with his front foot pointed open and he pitches with some effort. He throws an 11/5 curveball with developing shape and spin with the occasional bite and depth to it. He also throws a change up with some sink to it. Holub is an interesting guy to watch how much he improves with a few adjustments to his delivery. Defensively he showed solid actions at 1B with solid footwork. At the plate Holub has an aggressive approach at the plate and looks to pull the ball. He showed some bat speed and some power potential. Excellent student.
