Caden Monke is a 2018 LHP/OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Mt. Olive, IL who attends Mt Olive HS. Tall and very slender build, smaller frame that doesn't project to add much bulk. Fluid delivery with a clean and fast pace, some energy at release, extended high 3/4's release point from the third base side of the rubber, whippy fast arm action, has some deception with pace of his delivery but also challenges to keeping consistency to all the moving parts. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight but gets on hitters quickly, slurve type breaking ball is tight and sharp at times, will slow his arm occasionally on the pitch and guide it. Developing change up, tends to leave his arm behind on it. Not a comfortable at-bat for hitters, developing consistency will be key to his development. Good student, signed with Arkansas.
