Isaiah Coupet is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Flossmoor, IL who attends Homewood Flossmoor HS. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build and wiry strength. Ran a 7.00 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with quick, athletic fee while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions at pick up and works through exchange with fluidity. Showed very good arm strength generating stiff, accurate carry to the bag topping at 90 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a crouched, even stance and simple front side trigger. Shifts into contact well with lower half while utilizing a linear barrel plane. Looked to attack the middle of the field showing good extension and balance throughout swing. Also pitched utilizing a simple delivery with a compact arm action. Used lower half well while creating solid direction tot he plate. Compact, high three-quarters slot that produced heavy jump with fastball in the low 80's, topped at 84 miles per hour. Consistently filled the zone with fastball offering before working in a downer curveball in the upper 60's late in counts. Good student. Named to the 2018 National Indoor Showcase, Top Prospect List.
