Kale Orman is a 2017 RHP/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Erie, IL who attends Erie HS. Large frame, athletic build, room to put on additional muscle as he continues to mature physically. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, generates a downhill plane, slow paced delivery, developing tempo. Fastball works down in the zone, works location. 11/5 curveball shape, tight break, good depth, has good feel for it. Flashed changeup, similar to fastball movement. Mixes pitches well. Projects with size. From the infield, good footwork, solid glove actions, neck whips on throws, short quick arm action, has carry to bases. At the plate, right-handed hitter, leg lift trigger, opposite field approach, keeps his hands inside the baseball, flashed raw power, developing lower half. Excellent student.
