Brett Hammit is a 2018 SS/3B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Nixa, MO who attends Nixa HS. Long and strong build, looks taller than listed. 6.85 runner, has improved his speed, agility and raw arm strength since last seen, future is at third base but will be solid there defensively. Right handed hitter, low hand start, bent knee stance with a multiple toe tap load that opens his front side, lots of moving parts pre-swing at are impacting his timing, long and loose swing with lots of raw power on the inside half. Will need to make adjustments to take advantage of his power potential and bat speed. Very good student, verbal commitment to Nebraska.
