Luke Cash is a 2018 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Chesnee, SC who attends Chesnee HS. Has a slender build, long arms, plenty or room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle and mature physically. Posted a 6.99 60 yard dash. From the infield, primary shortstop that moves quickly low to the ground, smooth hands, solid actions, and good arm strength. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a wide base, high hand set, and high back elbow. Low leg trigger with hand drop in load. Has a pull side, contact approach with good extension through the baseball. From the mound, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with long arm action with quick arm speed. Stays tall through delivery, high leg lift past the belt. Generates downhill plane and gets good extension out front. Fastball has natural cutting action, works low in the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape with late break and solid depth. Could see even more velocity as he continues to incorporate lower half. Good student.
