Jamison Simmons is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 5-11 188 lb. frame from Port Neches, TX who attends Port Neches-Groves HS. Recorded a 7.14 second 60-yard dash time. Compact medium frame with some strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a simple delivery. Leg lift at the belt with some controlled violence and acceleration from gather to release. Over the top arm slot and mixed in a 12/6 curveball. Length of arm stroke causes him to miss up when arm is behind. Sat mostly in the upper-80s and touched 91 mph. Live righthanded arm and fastball velocity gives him a chance. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield. Righthanded hitter with some bat speed. Strong swing with minimal hand loading. Uses bottom hand well to stay inside and drive the ball to gaps. Has strength and will improve power with additional separation and extension. Good student. Named to the SS South TP List.
