Stone Churby is a 2017 RHP/ with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Brentwood, CA who attends Granada. Large frame with a long, lean build. Body projects to supports plenty of additional size and strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a quick tempo delivery. Lower half creates solid directional drive to the plate with downhill angle. Clean arm action through separation and releases from a compact high three-quarter to three-quarters arm slot. Produces good arm speed through extension. Fastball jumped on hitter with heavy actions and running action in the mid 80's, topped at 86 mph. Fastball induced weak contact with swing and miss potential. Curveball has 11/5 shape with tight spin and big break in the low 70's. Flashed a slider as well with 10/4 shape, tight spin and sharp tilt in the mid 70's. Consistently filled the strike zone with all three pitches, command the edges as well. Frame and arm action projects for additional velocity. Good student. Named to 2016 NorCal Showcase Top Prospect List.
