2017 Florida Top Prospect Showcase
Kaeber Rog is a 2018 SS/ with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL who attends Trinity Christian Academy. Very strong frame with present physicality and well-proportioned strength throughout the build. Primary shortstop with solid present arm strength. Moves well laterally to either side. Arm strength up to 83 mph across with good strength throughout the lower half that might force him to a corner at the next level. Switch hitter with excellent barrel skills and bat speed from either side. Good bat speed through a direct path to contact. Naturally lofted swing with very good control of the barrel. Gets extended well from the left side and has a spread open stance. Good explosiveness through the weight shift and turns well over the inside part of the plate. Power potential is intriguing and will be interesting to monitor. Coils inward and uncoils on time to help get some hip torque involved. Bit more natural of a swing from the left side but legitimate tools from both sides. Verbal commitment to Florida International. Named to the 2017 Florida Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
