Thomas Burr is a 2017 OF/C, IF with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Alexandria, VA who attends Flint Hill. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a strong, mature frame with strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.59 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short steps to the ball, full arm action coming through the back, quick transfer to a three-quarters arm slot, upright release, arm strength and carry will continue to develop with incorporation of lower half into release. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and gets closed with stride. Sees the ball deep and hits with a short swing path, keeps hands in through swing with a line drive swing plane. Simple mechanics, barreled contact to all fields, additional extension will help with strength. Good student.
