Tim Wheeler is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-6 230 lb. frame from Valatie, NY who attends The Albany Academy. Primary right handed pitcher with a big and strong broad shouldered physical frame. Works from the stretch with a smooth arm circle in back and good extension out front, will get closed with his front side at times and cut off his arm, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph, commands his fastball well and gets heavy life down in the zone. Curveball was a solid second pitch with tight 11/5 shape and bite, showed good feel for landing it as well. Flashed a couple of developing change ups. Nice two-pitch mix at present with good command and the strong potential to keep improving. Excellent student.
