Alex Armstrong is a 2020 RHP/ with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Kings Ridge Christian. Large and athletic frame, long limbs to frame with plenty of room to fill and time to do so. Ran a 7.64 second 60 yard dash. Only pitched at the event, righthanded pitcher, begins windup with a short side step up to a high leg lift, long arm action that comes through early but does not effect his command, releases from a 3/4 arm slot, drop and drive actions, had some command issues early in outing but worked around it nicely when adjusting to a more low effort delivery. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with command to both sides of the plate when adjustment was made, mixed in a frisbee slider with developing spin, flashed a changeup up to 70 mph. Showed promise on the mound and with some added arm strength velocity should continue to increase. Good student.
