Drew Leach is a 2020 RHP/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Bellaire, TX who attends Strake Jesuit College Prep School. Recorded an 8.25 second 60-yard dash time. Physically projectable frame with room to fill out the lean build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a short turn step into a leg lift at the belt. Drives well down the mound with good lower half drive. Extended three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm action. Throws with some intent and gets good sink and run on his fastball up to 79 mph. Can get to both sides effectively and will throw a breaking ball that flashes slurvy break to it. Secondary shortstop with clean hands and makes the plays well. Accurate throws across and works through well starting with the footwork. Righthanded hitter with an open stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and showed a lot of pull contact. Upright, slightly open stance with a downhill swing plane into contact. Good student.
