Jacob Lauderdale is a 2021 RHP/1B, 3B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Thomasville, GA who attends Brookwood. Athletic build with present strength and room for more. Two-way prospect as a pitcher and right handed hitter. Athletic delivery with energy through his delivery, repeats his mechanics well. Throws a mid-80's fastball from a 3/4's arm slot, gets good running and sinking life on the pitch and throws it for strikes. Curveball has quality spin and depth in the low 70's but tips the pitch from a mid to low 3/4's arm slot. Developing change up. Aggressive pitching approach and comes right after hitters. Right handed hitter, uses his lower half well to generate raw bat speed, similar aggressive approach at the plate as on the mound, takes a full swing with an uphill path and is looking to lift and drive the ball, very good jump off the barrel with loud contact when everything comes together, has big pull side juice. 6.90 runner in the sixty, played first base at this event but has outfield tools to develop as a two-way player. Has the athletic talent to continue to improve in all areas. Good student.
