Jesse Pierce is a 2019 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View. Large frame with slender, highly athletic present build; very good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.84 seconds. Sets up to hit from upright, slightly open stance with high back elbow. Leg lift trigger, torques hips well into swing, swings the bat with intent and brings lower half. Loose hands through swing with naturally leveraged swing plane, good bat speed, did a good job driving the ball into the air with solid pop to pull field. Very athletic at first base with easy footwork and clean hand actions, threw 84 mph across. Showed good range to both sides in the infield with easy footwork and actions overall, fielded cleanly and made accurate throws across, clocked up to 85 mph. Also pitched, medium-length arm stroke to three quarters slot release, clean mechanics throughout delivery with good direction and balance. Ease throughout, fastball worked 82-85 mph with good two-seam action, showed curveball with 12/6 shape and good depth. Threw strikes consistently. Named to 2017 Sunshine West Top Prospect List; very good student.
