Juan A Cabrera Melendez is a 2022 OF/RHP, C with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Rio Grande, PR who attends Pedro Falu Orellano HS. Recorded a 6.33 second 60-yard dash time. Athletic frame with plenty of fast twitch athleticism and a lot of room to add strength at physical maturity. Primary outfielder with a short arm stroke and long, confident strides. Aggressive actions into the ball and loads onto his back leg nicely into the crow hop; throws recorded up to 83 mph into the diamond. Right-handed hitter with a straight stance, downhill swing plane, and aggressive hacks. Looks to get out in front and pull the ball. Leads with his hands nicely and shows makings of some bat speed. Great student. Named to the Sunshine East Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
