Alex Bihn is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 5-10 151 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Westside HS. Very young and slender build. Cross body delivery, hides the ball well from a tight 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, gets nice fading action to the arm side, works down in the zone well. Throws three types of breaking balls. 67 mph slider is his best pitch, has good velocity relative to his fastball and consistent tight spin and late biting action. Changes speeds on his curveball, one at 61 mph has good spin and some depth, big looping 56 mph curveball throws off hitters timing and is always pulled foul. Crafty left who throws strikes with all his pitches and will pitch backwards, has easy and quick innings. Good student.
