Braxton Wall is a 2018 RHP/IF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Fernandina Beach, FL who attends Yulee High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.18 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, started closed, long, full arm action, crossfire element down the mound, short leg raise, and threw form a high three quarter arm slot. Worked from the first base side of the rubber with lower effort and a closed landing down the mound. Fastball worked 75-79 mph with mostly true action. Needs to repeat delivery and clear hips when working down the mound over front side. Also showed a curveball with 11/5 shape and good depth. Repeating release point will improve command and make fastball more effective. Secondary infielder, but graded out best from the outfield, showed short footwork into throws with developing accuracy. Showed arm strength up to 80 mph with a shorter arm action. At the plate, started with a wide base and used a leg lift timing mechanism. Showed developing bat speed with a linear swing path that primarily worked through the upper half. Should continue to incorporate lower half to see consistency at the point of contact. Very good student.
