Dylan Bedder is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-6 200 lb. frame from Berkeley Heights, NJ who attends New Providence. Large, long frame with an athletic build with present strength. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.45 sixty-yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a simple side step delivery. Stays tall and balanced on back side at gather. Utilized lower half well while working to the plate with drop and drive actions. Lands at a closed front side position but carries momentum well through finish. Released from a high three-quarters arm slot generating good downhill angle through the zone in the mid 70's to lower 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Showed developing feel for an 11/5 curveball with solid spin and depth when staying on top of offering. Consistently filled the zone and aggressively attacked the strike zone throughout each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from first base utilizing smooth paced, deliberate footwork while centering the baseball. Flashed athletic actions while pivoting to second base. Released from a three-quarters arm slot topping at 73 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Creates slight coil with top half at load while lower half works to contact with rotational actions. Loose, extended hand path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Primarily worked to the middle of the field between the gaps and flashed some pop when on time and squared. Very good student. Named to the 2017 Sunshine Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
