Dawson Simmons is a 2024 OF/SS with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Marerro, LA who attends St. Augustine. Long and lean build with lots of room to get stronger. 6.84 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has athletic actions through the ball, longer footwork and transition into throwing with a big crow hop, arm works well and makes accurate on line throws. Also worked out in the infield and is light on his feet and athletic, shows good hands and actions for a primary outfielder on the dirt and has potential to be a multi-positional utility player at the next level. Right handed hitter, hits from an upright stance with a high hand load and a leg raise and stride into contact, has a short and direct swing, fairly contact oriented with contact to all fields, additional strength and aggressiveness will be key to his future offensive development. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
