Julius Torres is a 2026 3B/RHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Royal Palm Beach, FL who attends Piper. Big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift into contact, rotational swing with some extension and strength, pull and lift with an uphill swing plane, has the strength to drive the ball and leave the yard on his pitch. 8.09 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, where he incorporates deliberate footwork into and throughout the fielding process. Displayed a clean funnel out in-front with limited lateral range. Produced arm strength up to 85 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with subtle movements into balance. Moved down the slope with good pace and lower half efficiency. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 80s with quickness to his hands and topped out at 85 mph from a loose three-quarters arm slot. Attacked the zone with fastball early and often, eliciting empty swings with plenty to project on, will need to develop a secondary offering to enhance overall repertoire on the mound. Took part in the outfield portion of the defensive workout as well, where he showed arm strength up to 84 mph and fundamentally sound glove work to field, will continue to with refinements to his footwork and proper adjustments. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider, spread stance with a high hand set and simple weight shift into launch. Lofted stroke with heavy hands, mostly pullside impact with power potential. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and some minor refinements. Two-way upside. Good Student.
