Mark Lusti is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-5 185 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends St. Augustine HS. Tall and lanky build, very projectable physically. Side step delivery with a high leg lift, stays on line to the plate well and gets over his front side smoothly, clean arm action, fairly fast paced well controlled delivery. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, gets nice sinking and running life, late life creates some swing and miss and weak ground ball contact. Tends to slow arm on curveball, still developing consistency in his release point. Change up is his best secondary pitch, has good feel and deception on the pitch. Has the body to keep improving and getting stronger and sound mechanics to throw strikes. Good student.
