Harrison Smith is a 2022 C/3B, OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Norman, OK who attends Norman. Medium athletic build with room to still strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, sets up in a conventional crouch that starts wide open and he shows some good quickness out of it. Replaces feet well, low transfer. Gains a ton of ground towards second base on his throws. Show some feel for his frame work in game. Posted a 2.19 second pop time in the catching workouts. At the plate, uses a wide and upright stance with a low leg lift trigger. Starts up onto his toe with his front foot. Very simple load, still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Middle of the field approach, good student in the classroom as well.
