Jace Weckmann is a 2023 C/2B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Mira Mesa. Recorded a 7.91 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and some lower-half strength. Starts from a low set behind the plate with slightly staggered feet. Uses a short arm action and gets rid of the ball quickly. Showed long hop accuracy to the right side of the bag. Right-handed hitter and begins with a narrow base with open feet. Utilizes a well-timed toe tap timing trigger. Separates well and works inside the ball. Showed some loft to path before a long finish. Worked the whole field with line drives and showed best power to the opposite field. Tremendous student.
