Julian Contreras is a 2025 SS/3B, IF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Dearborn, MI who attends Western International. Primary MIF with an athletic build and medium sized frame with strength. Showed quick feet with soft hands. Works around the ball well and moves well laterally. Can get to just about anything., Has a smooth gather with an extremely quick transfer and release. Arm is quick and can adjust the slot well. Plenty of strength and accuracy behind all his throws on full display and profiles really well in the MIF. Was up to 86 across the diamond. Also ran a 7.20 sixty. Switch hitter who starts out slightly open from the left side. Turns through it well and is able to impact it with plenty of bat speed. Takes a short and direct path to the ball with an extended finish in the swing. Better contact from the left side. From the right side, stance starts out the same in similar fashion. Uses a short path with an inward stride for timing and rhythm. Gets on plane and can drive the ball to the middle of the field. Was more on time from the right side and showed more power from the right side as well. Excellent student. Also named to the Top Prospect list.
