Alan Zimmerman is a 2028 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Winter Garden, FL who attends West Orange. Long and lean very projectable athletic build. Primary shortstop on defense with potential as a two-way prospect on the mound. 6.71 runner in the sixty. Has quick feet in the infield and plenty of arm strength, tends to get his glove down late particularly to the back hand, charged the ball well. Showed his arm strength from the outfield and made accurate throws with carry, arm action might play better in the outfield but has the athleticism and tools to play both. Right handed hitter, has good flow into his swing with a long stride into contact, line drive swing with occasional mid field lift, barrels stays on the ball a long time, lots of projection as a hitter as he fills in his long frame. Works from the stretch on the mound with a similar long and loose arm action. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with big running life, was able to back door right handed hitters with his fastball movement. Got on top of his curveball well and showed good spin and depth. Also flashed a change up. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
